Circle of Hope Huntsville

Volunteer

The importance of Circle of Hope volunteers cannot be understated. Without our volunteers we could not provide the scope of services needed to support children and their families. All volunteers of Circle of Hope are called "Friends for Hope". Due to the unique nature of Circle of Hope’s mission and the families we support, we ask all volunteers to complete a two – three step orientation process, depending on the type of volunteer position you are interested in. This extensive training is designed to help volunteers feel at ease when working with children and their families and to increase each volunteer’s awareness of community resources. If you are interested in volunteering please complete the online application.

• Step one – after completing a volunteer application you will be contacted to schedule a Circle of Hope orientation.

• Step two – attend an information seminar through The Caring House, a bereavement center for children located at Hospice Family Care.

• Step three – At times, we may have clients who are hospitalized. If you are interested in working with children while they are in the hospital you are required to submit proof of a recent (within previous 6 months) TB test and complete an orientation per hospital guidelines.
